Spending $32.99/person at Meat Me is not worth it. with infinitely better service, a wider variety of meats, and varying types of marinade. My family has undoubtedly had way better KBBQ in L.A.

I put outside in quotation marks because there were still plastic "walls" and a legit roof in this supposed outside patio.

The stars I gave were for the couple of flavorful meats we had, entertaining K-pop music videos on their TV screens, and the fact that we didn't smell like Korean bbq afterward because the meats were cooked by someone else since we were seated "outside". All in all, this was a rather disappointing experience and a definite Yelp fail. Well guess what? They didn't even have abomasum this evening. Also, I was actually looking forward to ordering beef abomasum (i.e., the one innard they have on their run-of-the-mill KBBQ menu). At that point during dinner, we were too tired to tell the server ONCE AGAIN that our order was messed up. Last time I checked, pork ribs come with bones. However, the pork dish that arrived was thinly sliced pork that used the same marinade as the beef short rib. We ordered the beef bulgogi, finger meat, and marinated pork ribs for our round two of meats. Just like the deep fried pork jowl, the tater tots came cold and unappetizing. For our second round, I ordered tater tots to give their fried foods a second shot. The pork shoulder was also fairly decent and seasoned enough. I just wish they indicated on the menu that it was boneless. We were expecting galbi with bones, but this did the job anyway. The marinated short rib arrived-this was tasty. We normally don't order chicken in AYCE places, but there wasn't a lot of meat variety in this joint so we made this unfortunate decision. The salt and pepper chicken came and lacked salt and pepper. My husband's steamed egg came, but the other two seemed to have fallen through the cracks, so I had to re-order them again. But because we were famished, we figured, sure, we'll take it. We did not order this thing and was probably an order for another table. Then a plate of cooked thinly cut brisket was set on our table. The meat pieces were cold and seemed like they have been sitting somewhere for a while. I thought that was way too fast and then realized it was not even freshly made. The first thing that came instantaneously was the deep fried pork jowl. Female server didn't jot down one thing and she seemed like she was mentally elsewhere, so I was slightly concerned that she didn't catch the whole order. Also ordered 3 servings of steamed egg and one order of deep fried pork jowl. We placed our first set of meat order: Marinated beef short rib, pork shoulder, and salt & pepper chicken. I had to flag down a server because I was with my in-laws who were very ready to eat before they got hangry. Was trying to figure out how this place works, while also practicing patience during a time when many restaurants tend to be short-staffed. Waited for about 15 minutes before anyone came to us to ask for drink orders and/or if we were ready to place our meat orders. Based on this scanty banchan "spread", I should have known it would be a less than stellar KBBQ experience. When we arrived, our party of four was seated "outside" where measly banchan was set out in front of us-basically kimchi and maybe pickled daikon (?). I called in advance to see if there was a wait and was told we could get seated right away. We figured we can't go wrong with AYCE also glad this restaurant has outdoor seating because our family is still very conscious of pandemic risks. for a family event and found Meat Me BBQ on Yelp while searching for a dinner spot that's not Chinese food on a Sunday night. Not quite sure how this place earned 4.5 stars.
